The "recommendation level" (rec. level) is based on how much I would recommend it to others. If it's low, that does not mean I don't recommend it (otherwise it wouldn't make this list in the first place), but simply that there are others works that I personally enjoyed more. I don't want to come across super comparative/harsh, and if you're one of the authors of a fic I've recommended here, please don't take offense to this. It's more of a way for me to point out the fics I recommend the most.

All of these works are great in their own right; be sure to try to thank the authors for how much hard work and effort they put into these works. A single comment of appreciation means a lot.

Did You Want This Back? is the second fic I read by SinisterSound. I IMPLORE you to read all their other fics; they're just as amazing and captivating and honestly, it's so hard to choose a single favorite of their fics. SinisterSound has such a way with words that never fails to make you feel something. Their concepts and settings are always super interesting and the excitement when one of their fics updates... whew. DYWTB? is still currently my favorite of theirs because of chapter 3. It just really hit me hard for some reason, and man... the emotions... it's so very good, and I seriously can't express how amazing SinisterSound's writing is. I keep adding their new fics and it looks like I'm spamming the rec list (sorry lol), but they're all so amazing I GOTTA RECOMMEND THEM ALL

Just Trust Me by ScarlettSiren

To Kill a MockingCactus by so_real is SO HILARIOUS I was nearly crying from laughter. It's the perfect mix of comedy and fluff, and the premise is so entirely outrageous, you can't help but chuckle from the synopsis. Super cute and funny, plus bonus points for the title.

I Wrote This For You is unfortunately still unfinished, but it's seriously SO good. The way the author incorporates the styles of different websites within the fic is so creative. They do an amazing job of giving the fic an overhanging sadness/melancholy feeling throughout. I mean, that might be because it's unfinished... (jk) The way it switches between the present and the 'past' by inserting excerpts from You Will Not Read This is really well done.

The Songbird and the Sea, commonly referred to as "tStS", is such an adventure. The worldbuilding, and all the fantastical elements, paired hilarious author's notes and frequent comedic quips give it such a vivid experience. You can quite literally see everything unfold. It's gained a lot of traction since I first read it, but it's definitely deserving of its hype.

in your eyes (it's where i wanna be) is a lot shorter than the other fics listed here, but it's probably one of the funniest fics I've ever read. Yoonmin's bickering gives me life and it's literally impossible to not read the fic without grinning the entire time.

Wolfsbane and you say witch like it's a bad thing go hand in hand; if you read one, you definitely need to read the other, otherwise you're missing out on so much of the story. This is such an amazing universe, and I was quite sad when it ended. YeonAh and Curi are two of my favorite BTS writers, and it's interesting to see the stylistic writing differences for the same universe.

incarnadine... the bane of my existence as a Starlight. I read this before reading Immortals, but as soon as I finished Incarnadine, I went back and some more things made sense. You don't necessarily have to read Immortals as well, but some things transfer over as parallels. It's decidedly much more angsty comparatively, but I think it flows better. Unfortunately incarnadine is still incomplete, but it's worth every read and gets better with each reread.

my heart is still (remembering) is the main fic by PhantomFlutist, but they continued with some short ficlets afterwards that provide more insight into the whole universe. You can't help but fall in love with the characters, and I absolutely adore the way the author took the Error concept and made it into something quite unique. Even though it's a futuristic sci-fi setting, it gives me almost post-apocalyptic feelings? But maybe that's just me.
